The country has become self-sufficient in rice, the staple food of Sri Lankans. Ancient farmers in Sri Lanka cultivated the land without using any chemical fertilizers. We do not need to familiarize ourselves with organic farming. It is our peasant heritage. Our sincere intention is to bequeath you the legacy of that ancient peasant heritage.
